Ben-Nicholas Borowski

I build explainable quantitative research held to a confirmatory standard: hypotheses pre-registered before the data, findings adversarially stress-tested, and null results shipped as honestly as the wins. It runs from financial signal analysis to emerging-research foresight.

Research interests

Making findings earn their claims

Register the hypothesis before the data, try hard to break the result, and publish the misses as clearly as the hits.

Explainable over black-box

Models that can justify each decision, so they survive an audit, not just a backtest.

Spotting ideas before they break out

Forecasting which research directions are about to accelerate, and being wrong on the record when they do not.

Counting every bet, not just the winner

Treating a whole line of research as one multiple-testing problem, so a result that only got lucky across many tries can't pass itself off as a discovery.
